Jon Bittman is an American born saxophonist living in Amsterdam. Since 2005 he has been an active member in the Dutch jazz, improvised music, pop  and theater scene.

Jon received his Bachelors Degree from the Conservatory of Utrecht, where he studied with Marc Scholten, graduating cum laude. He then went on to receive his masters degree from the Codarts Jazz Academy in Rotterdam, where he had lessons from Dick de Graaf and Simon Rigter, and also graduated cum laude.

Jon has performed in several of the Netherlands most prestigious jazz venues and festivals, such as the Bimhuis, Jazz in Duketown, Ijazz Festival, and in the Boerderij together with Stochelo Rosenberg.

He is currently a member of De Wereldband, with whom he has toured through Europe and performed in almost every concert hall and theater throughout the Netherlands. Their new show 'PLAYGROUND' is currently touring throughout Benelux. Jon is also a member of the international jazz quintet 'Acquaphonica', which has recently released their debut album "Private Enemey' to excellent reviews from international jazz magazines. As a studio musician, Jon Bittman has recorded clarinet solos on Caro Emeralds hit album “Deleted Scenes From the Cutting Room Floor’.
